Parish logos competition

Can you design our parish logos?

Kilmegan and Kilcoo parishes are inviting the students of Saint Malachy’s High School to take part in an exciting Art and Design project.

We are asking students to design 2 parish logos that could become the official logos of our parishes. We are looking for 1 logo for each parish:

  • Kilmegan parish (Castlewellan and Aughlisnafin)
  • Kilcoo parish

The winning logos may be used on:

  • parish website
  • emails
  • bulletins
  • newsletters
  • parish letterheads
  • social media pages
  • church signage and displays
  • future parish publications

This competition is open until the end of October 2026.

What should your design include?

Your logo should reflect:

  • the Christian faith
  • the history and identity of the parishes
  • local landmarks or symbols
  • community spirit
  • creativity and originality

Think about symbols such as:

  • churches
  • crosses
  • mountains or local landscapes
  • Saint Malachy
  • Celtic imagery
  • faith, hope and community

Why take part?

This competition is an opportunity to:

  • showcase your artistic talent and contribute to the future identity of the parishes
  • learn more about your local church community
  • help strengthen young people’s connection with faith and parish life
